In this thread you list in-game handle and alias(s) and then explain how/why you used this name and it's history in Tremulous.
ab08: This was the first ever name I used on Tremulous. It was during 2008 and I was 11 at the time, this was created because my favorite colors were green and red, my initials are AB and my favorite number is 8.
Flash: This name was used primarily during my time spent with NomNom clan. I needed a more professional and cool-looking name. While watching Starcraft gameplay videos on youtube I found a professional player with the name Flash. I thought it was cool and used it in Tremulous.
^bird: This name was originally thought of when I did a lot of drugs lol, it was in the summer of 2013 when I'd just come back to Tremulous after about a 2 year hiatus. The up caret signifies my being high, and bird is another name for a brick of coc@ine. Ergo, high off coc@ine. The color of the caret came from the color of my favorite bird which is a blue jay.
Sosa: This name came from fictionalized drug kingpin Alejandro Sosa in the film Scarface. Also, my favorite rapper goes by the moniker Sosa.
Relic: Relic: (Noun) Something that has survived the passage of time, especially an object or custom whose original culture has disappeared. This name was used as an embodiment. I see myself an other players are relics because of our time spent on Tremulous and our devotion to the game. We have lost our old 'noob-ish' ways and blossomed into more mature and skilled players.
Perc A percocet is a pain-killer often abused by druggies to get high.
Emerald: This name is just because my favorite gem is an Emerald, and my favorite-ever pokemon game was Pokemon Emerald. Ah, the feels.
Astral.: Astral comes from my adoration of space/stars. It also is an allusion to being high.
Thanks, I'll be looking forward to seeing your names and their derivations.
-All names listed above
EDIT: Bird and Relic are both colored in white, that's why they don't easily show on the post.
EDIT #2: Changed all white's to beige. It's slightly easier to see, but still difficult.
