To be completely honest I personally think you're taking this way to serious. Just buy one that's legit not to cheap but not to expensive... I don't know much about mics. I don't have one myself. I use Skype on phone and when on TS, I use keyboard mic. so yea.

Spend 20-$40 on the mic and you should be fine. Personally I prefer a mic over a headset

I like a headset bc often the mic is connected to the headset, just get something with decent audio so we can actually hear you and it doesn't sound like you're sprinting through the eye of a tornado on the back of a tiger. And lmao Silver, rockband is awesome.
